Most agencies will tell you they started with a grand plan. We started with a problem we could not solve for people. Small businesses kept asking for a proper website and could not justify paying for one in a single lump. So in 2010 we built a way to spread it, and called it RentAWeb.
That idea turned into an agency. DP Online Marketing Ltd was incorporated in September 2011, and over the next fifteen years it grew into Google Ads, SEO and social media work for small firms across the UK. RentAWeb got quietly parked along the way. Not because the idea was wrong, but because the agency was busy being an agency.
We brought it back in 2026, for the same reason we built it in the first place.
Why now
The gap never closed. A decent website still costs thousands up front, and the alternative on offer is a template builder that leaves you doing the work yourself on evenings and weekends. Neither of those is much good if you fit bathrooms for a living.
So RentAWeb does the thing in between. We design and build the site properly, custom, by people, for your business. You pay monthly. We host it, keep it online, make your changes and redesign it every year. If you would rather own it outright, you can buy it at any point for twelve months' fees.
Every site we build is designed from scratch for the business it belongs to. We do not run your details through a template and call it bespoke.
Who you are actually dealing with
RentAWeb is not a separate company, a reseller or a white label of somebody else's platform. It is DP Online Marketing Ltd, trading under a different name. The people who design your site are the same people who build websites for the agency's clients.
We only work with small and medium businesses. We do not chase enterprise contracts, and we are not trying to become the sort of agency that has an account management layer between you and the person doing the work. You will deal with people who know your site.
The company is a Google Partner and has been for fifteen years. Our founder, Brett Dixon, is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Across the agency we hold a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from more than 390 independent reviews.
How we price it
The same way we price everything else: openly, and in advance. The builder on this site works out your price as you go and shows you the number without asking for an email address first. No discovery call needed to find out whether you can afford it.
What you see is what you pay. There is no setup fee. Prices exclude VAT, which is added at checkout, and the only things charged on top of your monthly fee are the optional extras you choose yourself, such as a domain that is not a .co.uk or professional copywriting.
What we will not do
- Promise you rankings or leads. Nobody can honestly promise either, and anyone who does is telling you what you want to hear.
- Tie you into a long contract. One month's notice, any month.
- Hold your domain hostage. Your domain and your content are yours from day one, whichever way you pay.
- Generate your site automatically. If we could do that we would charge less for it. We cannot, because it does not produce anything worth putting your name on.
